If you’re ready to get REAL with yourself and your relationships, then I can guide you in getting there. As a Certified Relational Life Therapist, I will give it to you straight. It’s time to stop beating around the bush and see it for what it is.
What does it mean to get R.E.A.L?
It means learning relational skills that are focused on Respect, Esteem, Accountability and Love. It also means, acquiring an understanding and acceptance of the deeper and true essence of who you are.
Let’s face it, we all are confronted with times in our lives where we feel somehow stuck in life, in our relationships, in our way of being. We can’t seem to figure out what we really want and if we know it, we can’t figure out how to get it or get there. We feel disconnected, alone, filled with self-doubt, overwhelmed with fear and anxiety, and overcome with sadness and depression. We look to the outside, pointing blame at others for our misery, or we do so desperate for guidance and reassurance, while we struggle to see that the source of our pain must be healed from the inside out as we possess the propensity to heal and change ourselves.
How did you get here, where did it begin?
Much of why we experience life the way we do, why we struggle with certain things, is often due to childhood trauma. For children, anything that is less than nurturing can be traumatic, impacting our emotional and relational development, the effects of which often remain hidden in our subconscious, so that we are not aware of how these experiences influence the way in which we relate to others and experience life.
Where do you go from here?
I can offer you
- Individual Relational Therapy
- Couple/Marriage Therapy
And together we will work towards...
…gaining an appreciation of your inherent way of being, believing, and motivations behind your actions;
…unearthing how your personal experiences have impacted your belief system that perpetuate your negative sense of self;
…understanding how the stories you tell yourself impede your ability to have the connections in relationships you long for and deserve;
…exploring the source of the way you are being triggered in your relationships and how your reactivity impacts the distance and disconnect that is created as a result;
...finding ways to reconnect and regain trust after infidelity;
…finding healthier and more mindful ways of relating to yourself and others through increased self-awareness, acceptance, and improved emotional regulation;
…practicing skills that will provide you with the tools you need to nurture a more loving, caring and deeply connected relationship that is defined by mutual respect, dignity and healthy self-esteem.
